**The Offer**
They were eighteen, broke, and two weeks into a trip that had already gone wrong. Liam and Mateo had started in Lisbon with cheap hostels and worse decisions. By the time they reached the coast their money was almost gone and their bodies were thinner than they liked.
The flyer was on a café table, glossy and unsigned.
*Elite Wellness Retreat and Athletic Club. Complimentary suite, full board, and personal training for selected young travellers. Two month programme. Limited places.*
The man who approached them was older, well cut, expensive watch, the kind of easy smile that made you want to believe him. He looked them over the way some men look at horses.
“You’re both in good shape already,” he said. “We like that. We feed you properly, train you properly, put a bit of size on you. You leave heavier, stronger, and with money in your pocket. Or you stay longer if you like the life.”
They signed. They always do.
**The First Weeks**
The place was not a hostel. Marble lobby, saltwater pool, a gym that looked like it belonged to a private club. Their suite had two king beds, blackout curtains, and a fridge that was never empty.
They were weighed every morning. Measurements taken. Protein shakes that tasted too good. Steaks, eggs, rice, more steaks. A trainer called Viktor who never raised his voice and never took his eyes off their bodies.
Liam put on eight kilos in the first month. Mateo put on ten. Their shoulders thickened. Their thighs filled their shorts. They started looking at each other differently in the mirror after showers.
The erotic part arrived the way it always does when two young men are fed, trained, isolated, and told they are being improved.
One night Mateo came out of the bathroom still damp, towel slung low. Liam was already hard. They did not talk much. They used each other the way hungry people use food. Mouths, hands, the slow grind of new muscle against new muscle. Afterward they lay in the dark listening to the air conditioning and pretending they were not both thinking the same thing. This is the best we have ever had it.
Staff smiled at them in the corridors. Older men in linen shirts sometimes sat at the far end of the restaurant and watched them eat. No one ever joined their table.
**The Change**
By week six the training changed. Less size work, more conditioning. They were told to eat even when they were not hungry. Viktor started running his hands over their bodies after sessions, checking density, pinch testing fat, murmuring approval.
“You’re coming along beautifully,” he said one afternoon, fingers lingering on Mateo’s inner thigh. “The gentlemen who sponsor the programme like their cuts well marbled.”
They laughed. It sounded like a joke.
That night Liam found a door that should have been locked. Behind it was a walk in cold room. Hooks. A stainless table with channels cut into it. A drain. On a clipboard: names, dates, projected weights, preferred portions.
Their names were on the second page.
They went back to the suite and fucked like they were trying to leave marks that would last. It did not help. The fear sat in the room with them, thick as the new muscle on their frames.
**The Last Night**
They were given champagne at dinner. “Celebration,” Viktor said. “You’ve reached target.”
The older men were there this time. Six of them. They did not hide their interest. One of them, silver haired, reached across and squeezed Liam’s bicep the way a butcher tests a loin.
“Excellent work,” he said. “We’ll take the pair. Keep them together until processing. Some of us prefer the sentimental cuts.”
Liam and Mateo were walked back to the suite by two large staff members who were very polite and very firm. The door locked from the outside.
They had hours.
They used them.
They stripped and looked at what they had become: two eighteen year old bodies that had been deliberately, lovingly fattened and sculpted. They touched every new curve, every packed muscle, every place that would later be portioned. They fucked slowly at first, then desperately, then slowly again, as if they could fuck the knowledge out of their own flesh.
Mateo came with his face buried in Liam’s neck, whispering not to let them separate us.
Liam came with his teeth in Mateo’s shoulder, tasting salt and the faint metallic tang of the supplements they had both lived on for weeks.
Afterward they lay tangled, still hard, still young, still stupid enough to hope the door would open and someone would say it had all been a sick joke.
It did not.
**Morning**
They were taken separately after dawn. Liam last saw Mateo being led down a corridor that smelled of disinfectant and cold air, looking back once, mouthing something Liam could not hear.
The room they put Liam in was tiled. Bright. The table was already prepared.
The silver haired man from dinner stood to one side in a blood spattered apron, rolling up his sleeves with the calm of someone who had done this many times. His name, Liam would never learn, was Emil.
“You two were a beautiful pair,” Emil said. “We’ll keep some of you together. The rest will be shared. You’ve been very well looked after. That’s the least we can do.”
Liam started to speak.
Emil smiled the same easy smile from the café weeks ago.
“Shh. You’ve already given us everything we needed. Now be still. Quality deteriorates if you struggle.”
They did not keep them together.
Liam was strapped to the table first. Not roughly. The men who handled him had done this enough times that their touch was almost professional, almost kind. Wrist cuffs lined with leather. Ankle straps. A wide band across the chest that pressed his new pectorals flat and made his breathing shallow. Emil stood at the head of the table and looked down at him the way a collector looks at a finished piece.
“You put on beautifully,” Emil said. He ran a gloved hand down Liam’s sternum, over the packed muscle of his abdomen, then lower, cupping him without haste. Liam was still half hard from the night before. Terror and residual arousal had nowhere else to go. Emil smiled at that. “Even now. That’s useful. The gentlemen prefer their first cuts warm.”
They did not start with a throat cut. That would have been wasteful and messy. A sedative went into the vein at Liam’s elbow, just enough to loosen him, not enough to take him all the way under. He felt everything. The first incision was low, precise, along the line Viktor had measured a dozen times. Skin parted. Fat, pale and even, showed beneath. Emil’s voice stayed conversational.
“We’ll take the tenderloins while the heart is still working. Better colour. Better texture.”
Liam tried to thrash. The straps held. A second man, younger, dark eyed, one of the elite from dinner, leaned in and kissed Liam’s mouth while the knife worked. It was not comfort. It was tasting. The man licked the sweat from Liam’s upper lip and murmured that he was going to be extraordinary.
They portioned him while he was still conscious enough to understand the words. Inner thigh. Glute. The dense new muscle of his upper arm. Each piece was set on a chilled tray, labelled, photographed. Emil kept talking, almost affectionate.
“Mateo is next door. They’re taking him slower. Some of the sponsors requested the pair served in courses. You’ll meet again on the plate.”
Liam came once, helplessly, when a gloved hand closed around him at the exact moment the knife slipped under the skin of his hip. The men around the table made small sounds of approval. Nothing was wasted.
**Next Door**
Mateo lasted longer because they wanted him to.
They had him on his knees first, still in the suite, while two of the older men used his mouth. He was told that if he performed well he might be kept intact another day. He believed it the way drowning men believe in air. He swallowed, gagged, let them pull his hair, let them praise the new thickness of his throat and the way his shoulders had filled out. When they finally walked him down the corridor he was leaking, shaking, and still hoping.
The room they put him in was identical. Same table. Same drain. Same clipboard.
Viktor was there this time. The trainer who had measured him every morning now wore an apron and looked almost proud.
“You did everything we asked,” Viktor said, stripping Mateo with the same calm he used in the gym. “Ate when you weren’t hungry. Trained when you were sore. Let us reshape you. That loyalty is rare. We’ll honour it.”
They honoured it by keeping him awake for the first three cuts.
Mateo screamed when they opened his thigh. He screamed again when they took the long muscle of his back in two clean fillets. Between screams he still tried to bargain. Liam, where is Liam, I’ll do anything. Until Emil came through from the other room carrying a small covered dish.
He lifted the lid.
On the porcelain, seared rare, was a slice of Liam’s inner thigh, still pink at the centre, a thin ribbon of fat along one edge. Emil cut a piece with a silver fork and held it to Mateo’s mouth.
“He was asking for you,” Emil said. “This is the closest you’ll get.”
Mateo turned his head. They held him. The meat was warm. It tasted of iron and the protein shakes they had both lived on for weeks. Mateo retched, then swallowed because the alternative was choking. Emil smiled like a host whose dinner party had gone exactly to plan.
After that they stopped pretending there would be another day.
**Service**
The dining room was on the top floor. Floor to ceiling glass, the sea black beyond it, a long table set for eight. The first course was listed on heavy card as *Young Loin, pair raised, 18 weeks conditioned*.
They brought Liam out in pieces. Not all of him. Enough to make a point. Seared medallions from the tenderloin, a tartare from the rump that still held the faint sweetness of the supplements, a consommé made from the bones they had already begun to simmer. The men ate slowly. They talked about texture, about how the two boys had put weight on in complementary ways, about whether next season they should keep a pair longer and let them bond more deeply before harvest.
One of them asked after Mateo.
“Still being finished,” Emil said. “We’ll bring the second course when he’s ready. The gentlemen who requested the sentimental pairing will have them together.”
They did.
The second course arrived on a single platter: slices of both boys arranged so that the grain of the meat ran in the same direction, a dark reduction, a garnish of the herbs that had been in their last meal. The silver haired man carved. He placed a piece of Liam and a piece of Mateo on the same fork and ate them in one bite.
“They really did stay together,” he said, almost fond. “Remarkable.”
No one at the table pretended it was anything other than what it was. That was the point of the club. The boys had been chosen young, fed, trained, fucked, frightened, and finally rendered. The erotic part had never been separate from the horror. It was the same appetite. Only the cutlery had changed.
In the kitchens below, the remainder of both bodies was broken down with the same care Viktor had once used to check their form. Nothing was discarded that could be used. Labels went on vacuum bags. Liam, 18, conditioned 8 weeks. Mateo, 18, conditioned 8 weeks. Pair.
Some of it would be served fresh over the next three days. The rest would go into the private freezers of the men who had paid for the privilege of watching two backpackers become meat.
The suite was already being cleaned for the next pair.
The flyer would be on another café table by the end of the week.
